Questions people ask

Does Rey Columna still write code?

Yes. Agent Console is a solo build, with 352 commits since June 2026, all of them his. Rey also designed and built Markus and wrote most of its code.

What has Rey built himself?

He built Agent Console on his own. It is a desktop app for running a team of AI agents. He designed and built Markus, Welby Health's clinical AI teammate for nurses, and wrote most of its code. He also maintains open-source npm packages, such as create-angular-tailwind, nestjs-stripe, nestjs-firebase, release-notes and bump.

What does Rey do at Welby Health?

He has been the CTO since April 2022. He leads AI, platform and security for remote patient care, and connects Welby's software and devices with health systems and EHRs like Epic.

What is Agent Console?

A desktop app for running a team of AI agents. Each agent has its own role, terminal and daily budget. The agents share a task board and a memory. About a dozen people at Welby use it every day.

What is Markus?

Markus is a clinical AI teammate for Welby Health nurses. It reads live patient data and shows its reasoning. Clinical values are checked against the records it fetched. Rey designed and built it and wrote most of the code. It is live at markus.getwelby.com.

Can I download Agent Console?

No. It is an internal tool and the code is private. Rey can walk through it live if you email him.
